Privacy & your data
Plain English, no lawyer voice. This page explains what your giving log holds and what it will never hold.
What we store
- Your email and display name, so you can sign in.
- The causes and interests you pick, plus your ZIP and giving radius.
- For each gift you log: the amount, date, organization name, EIN, payment method you typed, and a link to your receipt.
What we never store — including your SSN
We never ask for and never keep Social Security numbers, taxpayer ID numbers, bank account or routing numbers, or card numbers. We don't host receipt files at all — a gift record only holds a link you control.
Every free-text box in the app is scanned before it saves. If something looks like a Social Security, bank or card number, the save is blocked and you're asked to remove it.
Keep your receipts in your own email or drive, black out any Social Security number on the document before you share it, and use a private link rather than a public one.
Who can see your giving log
Only you. Your donation records are locked to your account at the database level — other members and our own staff screens can't read them.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but you can still exercise the right: email privacy@swipegood.app and we'll confirm in writing. You can also ask us to export or delete your account and giving log at that address.
