How this works

Short version: we vet the orgs, you pick the ones you like, you give on their site, and we keep your paperwork straight.

How do nonprofits get on here?

They apply. Every org fills out the form at /apply with their EIN, mission, founding year and financial ratios, then a human reviews it before it hits anyone's deck.

What's the screening bar?

At least 2 years of operating history, an IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter, at least one filed Form 990, and at least 65% of spending going to programs. Anything that misses gets flagged and reviewed by hand.

Where does my money go?

Straight to the nonprofit. We never touch it. When you match with an org you donate on their own site, so 100% of what you give goes where you sent it — no platform fee, no processing cut from us.

Then how do I get tax documentation?

You log the receipt here. After you give, add the gift to your giving log with the amount, date, EIN and a link to the receipt email. We keep it organized by tax year and flag anything over $250 that's missing written acknowledgment.

Is the tax estimate real advice?

No. It's an estimate based on the marginal rate you pick. Charitable gifts only reduce your taxes if you itemize, and cash gifts are generally capped at 60% of your adjusted gross income. Talk to a tax professional.

What is a radius of impact?

Your ZIP plus a distance — 10, 25, 50, 100 miles or nationwide. Your deck fills with nonprofits inside that circle first, so local orgs get a real shot. When you run out, you can zoom out one step at a time.

I know a great nonprofit that isn't listed.

Suggest them. Sign in and use the suggest form — we'll look them up and invite them to apply.
